Raised
in a small town in Northern Indiana, Bill Schwob developed an
early interest in fine art through his father, a painter. Bill
attended Herron School of Art in Indianapolis in the early 70's,
studying painting and photography, and from there relocated to
Boston. He began his career by assisting other photographers,
while supplementing his income with carpentry. Before long he
began commercial shooting on his own, and by the late 70s' had
three books published with his photography through PBS, 'This
Old House' books one and two, and "The Victory Garden Cookbook
.' He moved to San Francisco in 1981 and for the last 20 years
has been taking pictures both in his studio and around the world.
Bill
has shot products, photo illustration, people, and food, in the
studio as well as on location, and in all formats. His work
has appeared in brochures, magazines, books, catalogs, annual
reports, web sites and ad campaigns. Whether it's designing and
building custom-made sets or facilitating another's creative vision,
Bill focuses on finding just the right solution for his clients.
The result is beautiful, effective, artistic imagery that powerfully
communicates the client's message.
STUDIO Bill Schwob Photography is located in Emeryville, California,
just across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. The comfortable
studio space is fully equipped and there is plenty of free
parking right outside the front door.
